Ecologist leads guided wildlife walk around Highbridge’s Apex Park

-

A free guided wildlife walk was held around Highbridge’s Apex Park on Thursday (July 27th).

Residents were invited to become wildlife explorers to discover what is living in the park, under the expert guidance of Sedgemoor District Council’s Ecologist Pete Grainger.

Sedgemoor spokeswoman Clare Faun said: “We had a good, but cut-short wildlife walk because of the weather today at Apex Park.”

“However, we had a band of about 15 people who were very interested in the history of the park and the wildlife habitats which have been created over the past 40 years.”

“Ecologist Pete Grainger is pictured collecting bugs from the wildflower meadow to bring back to show everyone the diversity of species.”
