Girl, 9, helped from Brean beach after injuring foot in sand dunes fall

-

A young girl was helped from Brean beach after injuring her foot in a fall on Wednesday afternoon (August 23rd).

Beach wardens, lifeguards and Coastguards were called to the dunes near the Seagull pub where the nine year-old girl had jumped from a sand dune, suffering a possible broken foot.

Due to delays in getting an ambulance it was agreed that the family would take her to A&E and she was moved from the beach on a board to a waiting car before being transported to Weston A&E.

“The family was very grateful for all the help they received,” said the beach warden.
