Burnham-On-Sea’s MP opens new mobility showroom in Brent Knoll

-

Burnham-On-Sea’s MP, Tessa Munt, officially declared a new mobility showroom run by a social enterprise company open on Monday (May 28th) in Brent Knoll.

Tessa cut a ceremonial ribbon at the Pluss showroom within the Sanders Garden World garden centre, as pictured.

Marie Proll, Enterprise Manager at Pluss, which is the organisation running the venture, told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “We would like to thank Ms Munt for attending our launch event. Pluss is the largest social firm in the UK. We support disabled people to achieve work and a career.”

“One way in which we do this is to employ people within our own commercial enterprises such as our mobility showrooms including this new one we’ve opened at Sanders Garden World.”

“Our mobility showrooms offer a wide range of equipment to help aid daily living for disabled people. We offer a one-stop shop providing assessment, purchase, servicing and aftercare of all equipment.”

“This puts us in a fairly unique position as our own staff have a real understanding of the barriers that elderly and disabled people face on a day-to-day basis. “

Customers will also receive a 10% discount on Pluss products during the official opening Bank Holiday weekend from Saturday June 2nd until Tuesday June 5th.

Tessa said: “I am delighted I was invited to help launch this mobility showroom here – it’s great that Sanders Garden World will be able to offer this brilliant facility to customers. The sort of work Pluss is involved with is highly commendable and I very much hope the organisation does well in Somerset.”
