A Burnham-On-Sea man has this week marked his 40th year of using Burnham’s Swiming Pool.
Michael Turner, 59, began swimming at Burnham’s Pool in Berrow Road in December 1974.
“Swimming is great – it keeps you young and helps to slow down the aging process,” he told Burnham-On-Sea.com.
“I swim 40 lengths every time I come here three times a week. I always keep my times to see my improvement and I can look back and see that when I started here I swam 40 lengths in 24 and a half minutes while now I do it in 19 and a half minutes.”
“I love it and have always supported Burnham’s pool – they are great facilities here.”
