The ambulance service says a man sadly died after suffering a cardiac arrest on Brean Down at the weekend.
Two helicopters, including the air ambulance, landed on the Down on Sunday afternoon to help the man, as pictured here.
Three ambulances and a team of Burnham Coastguards were also called to the scene shortly after 2.30pm.
A South West Ambulance Service spokeswoman told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “We were called just after 2.30pm to Brean after reports that a patient had collapsed with a suspected cardiac arrest.”
“We despatched three double-crewed ambulances, an air ambulance crew and cardiac arrest rapid response crew but sadly the patient passed away.”
Our photos show the services at the scene on Sunday afternoon, and the helicopters as they touched down to help the man.
Burnham Coastguards set up two landing sites for the two helicopters to safely land to help the casualty. Thoughts go to the man’s family at this time.
