Organisers of Highbridge’s bid to win the Britain in Bloom competition have this week held a special meal to thank Sedgemoor District Council’s street cleaners for their help in getting the town ready for the judges.
The ‘thank you luncheon’ was held at Southwell House, Highbridge on Wednesday (August 12th) for Sedgemoor’s Clean Surroundings Team.
“We wanted to do something special to recognise them for all their hard work in Highbridge leading up to the judging,” organiser Pam Lyes told Burnham-On-Sea.com.
Burnham and Highbridge Mayor Derick Cooper and Mayoress Christine Cooper were also in attendance, as pictured.
The Britain In Bloom judges visited in July, as we reported here, and the town will find out in September how it has performed in the overall competition.
