Join hula hooping world record bid on Berrow beach this Sunday!

-

A hula hooping world record attempt is set to be held on Berrow beach today (Sunday, August 30th).

The bid is set to be held from 11am-2pm, with the record attempt itself taking place at 12 noon.

The event’s organiser, Dominique Spencer from Sedgemoor District Council, told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “The current record stands at 2,290 people all hooping at the same time, so we need as many people as possible to take part.”

“We hope people will bring as many of their friends and family along as possible!”

Taking part will cost £3 per person and will include a hoop to keep. Car parking will cost £2 per car.

All proceeds from the event will go towards BIBIC for brain-injured children.

Participants will have to be able to hoop continuously for two minutes, and practice sessions will begin at 11am on the day.

Burnham-On-Sea.com will have full coverage of the event later on Sunday.
