Local people are being invited to join the team who are developing the Neighbourhood Plan for Burnham and Highbridge at their next open meeting this Thursday (22nd January).
The team will be joined by Nick Tait, Sedgemoor District Council’s Planning Policy Manager.
The final plan has to work within the existing planning policy so it is key that the team get a full understanding of the current, and planned, housing for Burnham-On-Sea and Highbridge.
Nick Tait said: “I will have the benefit of a report that looks at the economic based housing projections as well as the update strategic housing land availability assessment so will extract the headlines and relevant information from these.”
A spokesman for the group added: “Sedgemoor District Council has been working on this data for the last few months and we have been waiting for it before beginning work on housing. Feedback from our recent survey showed this is a matter of significant interest to our residents and one on which strong views are held.”
The group’s chairman Phil Harvey, pictured, said all are welcome to attend the session at 7pm in the Burnham and Highbridge Community Centre in Berrow Road.
