Local councillors have welcomed the opening of a new furniture shop in the centre of Burnham-On-Sea this week.
Jerome Andrew opened JD’s Home Comforts at 17 Victoria Street on Saturday (September 5th) with the help of his partner Sam Burn, pictured below.
Local county councillors Peter Burridge-Clayton and John Woodman were at the opening, as pictured above, and welcomed the launch of a new business in the town.
Cllr Burridge-Clayton told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “It’s good to see new businesses opening in Burnham, particularly during these difficult economic times. I wish Jerome all the very best with this new venture.”
Jerome said the new shop will focus on pre-owned and refurbished furniture, carpets, rugs and art. The premises at 17 Victoria Street was previously occupied by a flooring company which closed in March.
