One person was taken to hospital after a chemical leak at a property in Burnham-On-Sea on Saturday (July 14th).
Fire crews from Burnham and Bridgwater were sent to Louvigne Close, Burnham at 12.53pm after reports of chemicals leaking.
“Household cleaning chemicals had been accidentally mixed together and the products were gassing off into open air,” a fire spokesman told Burnham-On-Sea.com.
“Crews used two breathing apparatus to search for the chemical containers and made them safe.”
“Crews also carried out forced ventilation to ensure the property was safe again.”
One casualty was conveyed to hospital suffering from the effects of inhaling the gas, added the spokesman.
