Burnham-On-Sea police are appealing for witnesses following the theft of a bike and a mobile phone from a teenager in Berrow, who was also left injured after being attacked.
The incident happened on Saturday July 14th between 3.30pm-4pm when a 13-year-old boy was riding his mountain bike along a footpath which runs alongside Coast Road in the village.
He was pushed off his bike by another teenager and then two other youths grabbed him and held him on the floor. The victim was told to remove items from his pockets.
The first teenager then assaulted the victim, fracturing a rib and leaving him with severe bruising.
He left the scene with the Saracen mountainbike, a Samsung Galaxy S11 mobile phone and key. He ran off in the direction of the golf course.
A police spokesman told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “The first teenager is described as a white youth, aged between 15-16 and of average build. He was referred to by the two other suspects as ‘Dragon.'”
“The other two were described as white youths, aged between 15-16 years, both wearing dark hooded tops.”
“One was described as skinny and having a London accent, while the other is described as having yellow coloured teeth. All three suspects are reported to have been wearing woollen gloves.”
