A two-car collision led to the closure of a main road between Burnham-On-Sea and Weston on Wednesday (October 18th).
Two cars collided on the A370 at Bleadon, leaving debris across the road, as pictured here by a resident.
The busy route was closed for several hours while emergency services were at the scene.
Police, fire and ambulance crews were called to the accident and the occupants of the vehicles were treated by paramedics.
There have been a spate of serious accidents along the same stretch of A370 during recent years, prompting calls for additional safety measures from local residents.
