Sixteen pupils from Burnham-On-Sea’s St Andrew’s Junior School have taken part in a unique Opera performance in Bridgwater.
The youngsters performed at the McMillan Theatre in Bridgwater in an event run in conjunction with Garsington Opera.
The children wrote their own song and sang another that was composed by George Handel, as a part of a larger performance of the Opera Semele.
“The children should be very proud of their performances and continue to express their musical and acting talents,” said the school’s Luke Higgins.
“As well as impressing Mr Gillard and I, who attended the event, they also dazzled the theatre professionals they were working alongside with their beautiful singing and fantastic song composure.”
