Highbridge man arrested after £1,000 of cannabis plants found

-

A 30 year-old Highbridge man has been arrested after officers found four cannabis plants with a potential street value of £1,000 at his home.

The man was arrested at his property in Smith Way over the past week following community intelligence received by Highbridge beat manager PC Adrian Jones.

The offender is currently on police bail and will be charged once the drugs have been analysed.

“This is another excellent example of the police working closely with the community to tackle issues of concern,” Sgt Ian Kennett told Burnham-On-Sea.com. “Drug dealing has been a PACT priority for Highbridge for the last 6 months and many arrests have been made following the execution of search warrants.”

“If members of the community wish for drug dealing to remain a PACT priority they should attend the next Highbridge PACT meeting next Wednesday at 7.30pm at St John Ambulance Hall in Highbridge.”
