Burnham-On-Sea artist Michael Squire is set to hold a week-long exhibition of his original paintings later this month – including a special painting of Windsor Castle to mark the Queen’s 90th birthday.
Taking place from Monday 20th – Sunday 26th November, the display will be open daily from 10.00am-4.00pm at 16 Brightstowe Road in Burnham-On-Sea.
Michael has been a local artist for many years and his paintings vary from landscapes and animals to flowers in watercolours and acrylics.
He says this exhibition is of significance since his painting within the grounds of Windsor Castle was one of many painted to celebrate the Queen’s 90th birthday.
“I was invited together with 89 others to paint a picture in the grounds of Windsor Castle in July 2016,” he says.
“There were ten sites and I chose the Jubilee Gardens. This was a great privilege and although I did not merit a prize, the experience will be everlasting.”
“This painting and many others are in his exhibition this year and should attract interest though its provenance.”
He has exhibited in the Westminster Galleries, Windsor and Eton as well as in Burnham-On-Sea and Bridgwater.
He says the exhibition is one for anyone interested in representational paintings of local scenes.
He has sold paintings in Australia, Canada and France as well as many locations around the UK. All paintings are for sale and commissions are undertaken.
