BBC Somerset’s Children In Need show comes to Burnham-On-Sea

-

Claire Carter, presenter of BBC Somerset’s breakfast show, will be broadcasting her show live from Burnham-On-Sea on Friday 17th November during a Children In Need fundraising challenge.

During this week Claire is walking 75 miles in wellington boots, raising money for Children in Need.

And on Friday, she will be hosting her show live from 6.30am-9am from Burnham Information and Rescue Support (BiARS) on the town’s seafront before setting off on her final leg from Burnham-On-Sea to Bridgwater and Taunton College.

During her walk, Claire is stopping off at local schools and clubs to hear how they are fundraising.

BiARS manager Ian Jefferies told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “We are delighted to be hosting the breakfast show and being a part of Claire’s ‘Great Wellington Walk’ raising funds for Children in Need.”

“If anyone wishes to donate to Claire’s fund and can bring their donation into BiARS, we will pass it on.”

“Alternatively, if you have raised money for Children in Need and wish to donate it on the day, please call in to us during the show between 6.30am and 9am to gain the publicity from the broadcast.”

People who have fundraised during this week can present their funds to Claire during the show in Burnham.
