A horse has been successfully rescued by fire crews from Burnham-On-Sea after a bizarre incident at Sedgemoor Services on the M5 on Wednesday (November 18th).
Firemen were called to the motorway service station after the horse became trapped in its box.
Fire spokesman Paul Slavin explained to Burnham-On-Sea.com: “We were called at 3.15pm after the owner of the horse reported the animal had bolted inside its horse box and become trapped on a partition within the horse box.”
“The animal was sedated by a vet and the fire crews then cut away the transition area within the vehicle to safely remove it.”
“The whole incident took 30 minutes to complete and the animal was then left in the care of its owner.”
