The four occupants of this car had a dramatic escape after it overturned in Burnham-On-Sea early on Sunday morning (December 3rd).
Emergency services were called to Burnham’s Oxford Street at around 2.20am where the Peugeot 206 had slammed into a wall and overturned.
Four ‘shocked’ young people inside the vehicle suffered only minor injuries and managed to crawl out of the vehicle.
Burnham-On-Sea Police and Fire crews were called to the scene, outside the Crown Gardens flats complex, where bricks were scattered over the street, as pictured here.
One nearby resident, who asked not to be named, told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “We were woken by a loud noise and were shocked to look outside and see the cause – a car had crashed and been left on its roof.”
“We were so relieved to see the young people inside were out and had not suffered serious injuries.”
Police are investigating the incident and anyone with information should call 101.
It is the second crash at the same location in recent years. Burnham-On-Sea.com reported in August 2013 how a car slammed into the side of the building, leaving it embedded in the wall.
