Crowds of visitors flocked to Secret World Wildlife Rescue Centre near Burnham-On-Sea over the Easter weekend where several badger cubs were the centre of attention.
Visitors to the centre were able to catch a glimpse of three young cubs, along with other orphans including fox cubs, who are among the first to be cared for this year at the centre.
The first badger cub, called ‘Little Star’, hit the headlines in February when she survived against all the odds and is growing every day, from 80g in weight to over a kilo since her arrival.
She was on show with another 8-week old badger cub called ‘Vogue’. A third cub arrived only in the past fortnight from Cheddar after being found with injuries caused by a dog.
The four-day Easter open weekend enabled visitors to find out more about badgers. Half-hourly animal presentations were also held alongside including foxes, ferret racing and hedgehog talks.
