Burnham teens’ garage sale raises £100 for visit to typhoon-hit country

-

Two Burnham-On-Sea teenagers who are planning to visit the Philippines to help rebuild and repair communities badly affected by recent typhoons held a fundraising garage sale on Saturday (April 11th).

James Whitrow and Tom Creswick began a fundraising campaign last year to cover the costs of their trip to the country and have already raised over £3,000 of their target £4,600.

Their latest event was a garage sale in Cookson Close, Burnham on Saturday which raised almost £100.

“We had a steady flow of visitors through the day and thank all those who came along to give us support,” said James.

On 18th April, the boys will be at the Simply Fresh petrol station in Lower Weare holding a car wash from 9am-1pm.

The duo also have an online donations page here where funds are welcomed.
