Snowfall made a Burnham-On-Sea cul-de-sac’s stunning display of over 100,000 Christmas lights even more ‘magical’ than ever on Sunday evening (December 10th).

A dusting of snow fell on Trinity Close, which has been dubbed ‘Britain’s most festive street’ by the national press, making it even extra more special than usual for families visiting it, as pictured here.

Among the visitors was Jenny Little, who told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “We came along especially to see the Trinity lights in the snow with our two daughters and we weren’t disappointed – it was breathtaking to see with flakes of snow fluttering down. The snow made it magical and we adore it!”

Crowds of visitors have been heading to the display in recent days, raising almost £1,500 for two charity in the first week. This year’s beneficiaries are for rescue hovercraft charity BARB Search & Rescue and cancer support charity PETAL: The Christine Woodberry Memorial Trust.

Resident Roger Flower told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “It’s a superb display this year – it gets bigger and better every year and we were delighted to be featured in the Daily Mail last week in an article about the best Christmas lights displays across the UK.”

He added: “Extra traffic cones to restrict parking have been introduced this year at the suggestion of Somerset Highways, the Police and district council, and we are pleased to see these have been heeded.”

“We are encouraging visitors to walk in and enjoy the lights without parking at Trinity Close or in Berrow Road.”

Residents have decorated their homes, gardens and walls with colourful twinkling lights, and the display is lit each night from 4.30pm-10pm until early January.

Last Christmas, the five-week display in Trinity Close raised a record sum of £13,329 for charity and visitors are being encouraged to make donations in the collection box.
