Busy Christmas week ahead at Burnham-On-Sea’s St Andrew’s Church

Burnham-On-Sea’s St Andrew’s Church is getting ready for a busy week of Christmas activities.

On Sunday December 17th at 6.30om there will be a Community Carol Service at which members of the community will share in the reading of the lessons.

The service will include festive music from St Andrew’s School Choir and Burnham charity Somewhere House. The event will be followed by mulled wine and mince pies and a cake stall – all are welcome.

On Thursday 21st December at 6.00pm the church we be marking the Winter Solstice with a gathering, stories and food and song.

Christmas Eve will see the church’s Christingle Service at 5pm when families and children will share in the wonder of Christmas through the sharing of the Christmas story with the Christingle, an orange with a candle in it.

Midnight Mass will be held at 11.15pm when all will be welcome to come along to mark the beginning of Christmas.

On Christmas Day there will be services at 8am and 10am and a Service will also take place at Edithmead Church at 10am.

“We hope to provide something for all tastes and welcome everyone to their Parish Church – and all are very welcome,” said vicar Rev Graham Witts.
