Police and firefighters were called to a two-vehicle crash in Burnham-On-Sea on Thursday evening (December 21st).
Crews were sent to Highbridge Road in Burnham-On-Sea just after 6.20pm where the collision occured and an elderly person was helped from one of the vehicles.
A fire service spokesman said: “The Service were requested to attend a report of a collision in Highbridge Road. Both appliances from Burnham were mobilised to the incident.”
“On arrival, crews found a two vehicle collision with one elderly casualty still within the vehicle.”
“Crews assisted the casualty from the vehicle and worked to make the vehicle safe.”
The incident led to a partial closure of the road while emergency services were at the scene.
