Almost 300 athletes of all ages took part in Burnham-On-Sea’s Spring Triathlon on Sunday (April 26th).
Organised by Burnham-On-Sea Swim and Sports Academy, the Super Sprint Triathlon and Junior Triathlon races were held in dry, but chilly conditions.
The overall men’s winner was Travis Bramley, 16, from Plymouth, while Burnham’s Celia Miall was the overall women’s winner – both of whom are pictured here with organiser Martin Rogers. The full results are here.
The adult competitors completed a gruelling 250m swim, 10km bike ride and a 2.5km run while the youngsters completed a shorter course along the beach and seafront.
Martin told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “We had a really good turnout today and there was some really competitive action. Our thanks go to all the athletes, marshalls and local residents for their support. It was a great success.”
