A 23 year-old Burnham-On-Sea man appeared in court today (Monday) accused of the murder of a 20 year-old on Christmas Eve.
Adam Lapthorne appeared at Exeter Crown Court accused of the murder of George Lawson, 20, (pictured) of Abingdon Street, Burnham.
Mr Lapthorne spoke only to confirm his name and was remanded in custody until a further hearing, which is likely to be February 22nd.
A police officer found the body of George Lawson, lying on a bed in a flat in Abingdon Street above the Second Stage tattoo shop shortly after 9am on Christmas Eve.
Burnham-On-Sea.com also reported that a post-mortem had found that Mr Lawson, pictured, had suffered 13 stab wounds.
