A kind-hearted Burnham-On-Sea youngster has celebrated her birthday with a selfless act by inviting family and friends to give donations to two charities close to her heart instead of buying her presents.
Venice Winstone, pictured, celebrated her ninth birthday at the weekend and decided that she wanted to raise funds for two of her favourite charities.
Mum Romana Winstone told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “In the space of just over one hour she managed to raise a whooping £200 for two charities close to her heart.”
“They are Cancer Research UK, as her dad Ian has chronic Lymphocytic Leukaemia that’s in remission; and HorseWorld in Bristol because she’s absolutely horse mad.”
She added: “My husband and I are both very proud of her selflessness and her giving nature.”
“A huge Thank you to everyone who so very kindly made donations.”
