Brent Knoll’s Gracie Wickens-Sweet on ITV’s Britain’s Got Talent today

-

Brent Knoll singer Gracie Wickens-Sweet hopes to win the hearts of millions of TV viewers tonight (Saturday) when she appears on ITV1’s Britain’s Got Talent.

11-year-old Gracie is hoping to impress the judges, who include Simon Cowell, with a powerful performance of ‘Somewhere Over The Rainbow’.

She won Burnham-On-Sea’s ‘BOS Factor’ talent show last November when she wowed the audience by singing the same song.

Her mum, Anne Sweet, told Burnham-On-Sea.com last night: “We are so proud of Gracie and what she’s done so far. It’s wonderful that she’s going to be on Britain’s Got Talent and we are all hoping that she impresses the four judges!”

“Gracie has a lot of local support and is well known in Somerset for her singing. This opportunity will give her huge national publicity for the first time!”

“We have our fingers crossed that she does well this weekend.”

Last month, dozens of supporters crowded into Brent Knoll Parish Hall for a special concert by the young singer, as reported here. Gracie, a pupil at Hugh Sexey School, also previously competed in the UK’s Teenstar talent competition where she reached the area finals and got selected for the O2 final by the judges.

Gracie’s confident performance of ‘Over the Rainbow’ also won last November’s ‘BOS Factor’ talent competition in Burnham, as reported here.
