Members of Highbridge Young Farmers’ club visited Burnham-On-Sea Lifeboat station on Wednesday (24th January) where they handed over a cheque for £551.
The group talked with the crew, saw the lifeboats and explained that the money had been raised through carol singing, a public party and a ‘Boxing Day Boogie’.
A spokesperson for the club said: “We had fun raising the money, and feel the RNLI to be a worthy charity.”
Lifeboat Operations Manager Matt Davies added: “We always welcome support from the community, and donations such as this continue to help our volunteers to save lives at sea.”
