A Burnham-On-Sea swimmer is celebrating after striking gold at the Somerset ASA County Swimming Championships.
Macy Noad, 11, travelled to Millfield on Sunday to compete in the 400m race and came away with a coveted gold medal.
Macy, a member of the Burnham Swim and Sports Academy team, was delighted with her win.
“She knocked over eight seconds off her previous personal best to win the event by over 14 seconds, so huge congratulations go to Macy!” said a spokesperson at Burnham Swim and Sports Academy.
