A lorry blaze on the M5 motorway near Burnham-On-Sea caused delays for passing motorists on Saturday.
Fire crews were called to the vehicle on the M5 northbound near junction 22 at Burnham shortly after 1.30pm.
“Two fire appliances from Burnham were sent to a report of a trailer on fire and crews confirmed a small fire was found in a rear axle of articulated lorry,” a fire spokesman told Burnham-On-Sea.com.
Crews used a hose reel to extinguish the fire. One lane of the motorway was temporarily closed during the incident.
