Members of Highbridge’s Local Action Team received a welcome financial boost during the group’s annual general meeting on Thursday evening (February 11th).
The town’s County Councillor John Woodman handed over a cheque for £250 to the group’s Chairman, Jason Adams, and Secretary Trish Hart.
Cllr Woodman told Burnham-On-Sea.com he was pleased to be helping the group with a donation from Somerset County Council’s Community Fund.
“I’m very pleased to support such a worthwhile group and look forward to attending the team’s activities over the coming year,” he said.
The AGM was held in Morland Community Hall, where Chairman Jason Adams, Treasurer Roger Keen and Secretary Trish Hart were re-elected. Members reviewed an active and successful second year for the group and discussed plans for various community activities over the coming year.
