-

Hundreds of pounds worth of cannabis resin was seized by police during a raid on a property in Highbridge on Friday morning (February 12th).

Police officers executed a warrant under the Misuse of Drugs Act at a property in Morland Road.

A quantity of cannabis with a street value of more than £300 was recovered and a 56 year-old man was arrested for drugs offences.

He was charged with possession of cannabis and is scheduled to appear before Sedgemoor Magistrates Court on 9th March.

PC Adrian Jones told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “This is another example of the Highbridge Neighbourhood Team tackling the issues raised as a concern by the public.”

“I would urge the community to continue to report suspicious activity to their local officers. All information will be dealt with in confidence and will help to make Highbridge a safer place for everybody.”
