Burnham-On-Sea lifeboats benefit from cyclist’s Lands End ride

David Price, a Yatton Rotary Club member, has pedalled hundreds of miles to raise moeny for lifeboats in Burnham-On-Sea and Weston.

Mr Price completed a sponsored cycle ride from Land’s End to John’O’Groats in 2009 and has this week handed over the money to the two groups.

£1,500 was presented to Weston-super-Mare RNLI with the balance of the money raised, £2,000, being presented to Burnham-on-Sea RNLI.

Lifeboat Operations Manager Ricky Holmes told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “This was a tremendous achievement, and we thank David for the generous donation.”
