Denise and Steve Lynham were delighted to win a contest at Asda in Highbridge for a meal for two at the White Cottage Restaurant in West Huntspill.
Denise works at Asda, and was amazed when the store’s competition organiser contacted her on Saturday evening to say her name had been picked out of a hat to win. “It was a really nice surprise and we enjoyed a wonderful meal,” said Denise.
The competition had a serious side since all the money raised went into Asda’s Haiti earthquake relief fund. The Highbridge store has raised more than £1,000 so far.
