Dozens of local craftmakers showed off their talents during a two-day craft fayre at a garden centre near Burnham-On-Sea over the weekend.

The event at Sanders Garden World in Brent Knoll attracted crowds of visitors on both Saturday and Sunday – and also raised £400 for Freewheelers Emergency Voluntary Service, one of the garden centre’s charities of the year.

Crafters who attended the event include Lin Bailey, who demonstrated her glass engraving, and Emma Duke, who displayed driftwood sculptures.

Jola Kita, who is a Shop Floor Assistant at Sanders GardenWorld, also displayed her artwork and visitors were able to take home portraits drawn by Jola.

Organiser Allan Roberts, from Freewheelers EVS, told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “The craft fayre was a great success and we are delighted that it raised £400.”

“Lots of crafters came along to the event and some of the exhibitors brought their tools and materials so that they could demonstrate their skills to visitors.”

Freewheelers is a registered charity that transports items on specially adapted motorcycles from hospital to hospital in Somerset and beyond.
