More than 250 job and apprenticeship opportunities will be up for grabs when Sedgemoor District Council holds its 5th annual Recruitment Fair in Burnham-On-Sea today (Tuesday).
Aimed at helping local people find the training, job advice or careers that are right for them, the fair will be held in The Princess Theatre on Tuesday February 13th and will be open from 10.30am-1pm and from 2pm-4.30pm.
It will be free to attend and there is no need to book. Among those who have agreed to be on hand to field inquiries are Host, Holiday Resort Unity, New Directions Social Care, Avon, R K Bell, Ecocleen Services, Somerset Larder and G4S FM.
More than 250 job and apprenticeship opportunities will be promoted at the Fair as well as the help provided by recruitment agencies, trade bodies, careers services and training organisations.
Last year’s event attracted more than 170 people who were able to talk to a range of local employers about the opportunities on offer and meet experts primed to help with advice on how to make the most of those opportunities.
A spokesperson for Sedgemoor District Council told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “We are hoping to beat our own record for attendances this year as we know the event is seen as really useful by employers and people looking for a new start.”
