Burnham-On-Sea and West Huntspill firms given cash for defibrillators

-

Two local businesses have this week been given £250 to help them buy life-saving defibrillators.

The White Cottage restaurant in West Huntspill and The Lighthouse Pub in Burnham-On-Sea have received the funding from the Bridgwater Classic and Vintage Club during a cheque presentation.

The cash to help the two businesses were raised during the vintage club’s annual show, which was held last summer at Bridgwater Morganians sports ground when £3,500 was also donated to Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance.

Peter Grant, chairman of the Bridgwater Classic and Vintage Club, said the club was pleased to hand over the donations.

He added: “We enjoy organising our classic and vintage events. Look out for our next car show at Beachside holiday park, Brean on Sunday, June 10 where our main beneficiary will again be the Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance. Our next annual show at Morganians is in August.”
