Burnham-On-Sea and Highbridge residents invited to Apex litter-pick

-

Burnham-On-Sea and Highbridge residents are being encouraged to get involved with a nationwide campaign from Keep Britain Tidy to clean up local communities over the weekend of March 2nd-4th.

As part of The Great British Spring Clean, a litter clean is to be held at Apex Park in Highbridge on Friday March 2nd between 10am and 2pm.

The Friends of Apex Park and Sedgemoor Model Boat Club are inviting volunteers to take part in the organised litter-pick, meeting at the Apex Park car park.

“Sedgemoor District Council is loaning a range of support for those who are doing their bit, including free volunteer clean-up kits containing litter pickers and gloves and we will also collect the bags of collected rubbish,” the council’s spokeswoman Claire Faun told Burnham-On-Sea.com.

“A delivery of special ‘Great British Spring Clean’ rubbish bags have been received by Sedgemoor District Council and are just waiting to be filled.”

Email clean.surroundings@Sedgemoor.gov.uk if you want to join in the Great British Spring Clean.
