CCTV photos released by Burnham police after bank fraud incident

-

Burnham-On-Sea police have this week issued two CCTV photos of a woman they want to speak to in connection with a suspected case of fraud at a bank in the town.

The woman, who is black with tied back hair, was wearing a black and white chequered scarf and a dark top when the fraudulent activity was committed at Lloyds Bank on Burnham High Street last Wednesday (March 3rd).

She presented two stolen cheques, one over the counter and another at the bank’s deposit point, before cash was withdrawn from a cash machine.

The recipient’s account was frozen, but she is being sought by officers.

A police spokesman told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “We are trying to trace a woman who we think may be able to help with our enquiries into a case of fraud.”

“Anyone with any information regarding the case should contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
