Burnham family prepares for fundraising skydive in Paul’s memory

-

A family from Burnham-On-Sea will be taking part in a skydive to raise funds in memory of Highbridge resident Paul Plume who sadly lost his fight against cancer last year.

Paul’s wife, Sally, and her two sons Alex and Lewis have decided to do a skydive in his memory and in turn raise money for St Margaret’s Hospice where Paul was wonderfully looked after.

The team also includes Scott Woodberry, representing Petal, who recently donated £8,000 to the charity in memory of Paul from the ‘Lighthouse Trail Fundraiser’, Kirsty Brown, Sophie Darwish and Claire Taylor.

They will be jumping from 15,000ft at Dunkerswell Airfield on Wednesday 29th July.

Julie Draper, the hospice’s Communuity Fundraiser, told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “This is such a brave thing to do – everyone at St Margaret’s is wishing them well in their forthcoming challenge event.”

Paul Plume, pictured, oversaw the building of Burnham’s Mini Lighthouse Trail last year. He died last December after a two-year battle with lung cancer.
