Highbridge school issues ‘stranger danger’ warning to pupils

-

Pupils at a Highbridge school have this week been issued with a ‘stranger danger’ warning after a man was spotted acting suspiciously outside its gates on several occasions.

Claire Nurse, acting headteacher at St John’s School, has informed all parents about the sighting in Coronation Road (pictured) and police have been called in to step up patrols.

Mrs Nurse told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “We have received several reports of an unknown adult loitering around the Coronation Road entrance to our site.”

“This has been reported to both Burnham police and to our Highbridge PCSOs and all our parents have been told.”

She added that Highbridge police will shortly be visiting the school to deliver fresh ‘stranger danger’ advice to the pupils.
