A major refurbishment of a Burnham-On-Sea church is being planned for later this year.
The Roman Catholic Church in Highbridge Road, pictured, has applied for planning permission to make a number of alterations to its entrance and also modernise the interior of the building.
The proposals include the creation of a new extension to the front entrance, shown right.
This includes the formation of a new ramp for better disabled access, plus new boundary walls and railings, and the installation of four additional windows.
The interior of the building will also be refurbished and improved as part of the scheme, which will cost tens of thousands of pounds.
Sedgemoor District Council’s planning department is due to consider the proposals next month and feedback from the public is welcome until April 10th.
