£5k wall repair completed at Burnham-On-Sea car park

-

Thousands of pounds worth of repairs have been made to a crumbling wall at a council-owned car park in Burnham-On-Sea this week.

Sedgemoor District Council has completed £5,000 of works at the Oxford Street car park in the centre of town, as pictured here.

“Part of the wall was becoming increasingly out of plumb and would eventually have fallen into the car park,” district council spokeswoman Claire Faun told Burnham-On-Sea.com.

“The render on part of the wall was also falling off, was looking unsightly and may have caused damage to vehicles parked next to it.”

The work was carried out by Steve Pyke, who specialises in traditional building methods and lime mortar work.
