Sedgemoor Vintage Show underway in West Huntspill this weekend

-

Scores of vehicles from yesteryear are on show at the annual Sedgemoor Vintage Show near Burnham-On-Sea this weekend.

On display at the two-day event will be steam and stationary engines, tractors, classic cars and commercials, motorcycles, plus crafts, horticultural displays and other entertainment.

The popular show is being held on Saturday and Sunday (July 11th and 12th) at Sloway Farm off Pawlett Road in West Huntspill (opposite the Woodpile). The gates open at 10am both days.

One of the organisers, Rob Coombes, told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “It promises to be great weekend. In attendance there will be all manor of interesting exhibits dating back many years.”

“Taking pride of place will be the large steam traction engines with their smaller counterparts alongside them.”

“Also we have classic commercials and cars, emergency vehicles, tractors, military vehicles, motorbikes and stationary engines, a working section with log-cutting using both steam and diesel power, a horticultural section, a large selection of outside static exhibits, a large craft section and many trade stalls.”

“There is a beer tent that will be serving local ales all day, a WW2-style tea tent serving home made cakes and sandwiches and tea in China cups.”
