A team of Ju Jitsu martial arts enthusiasts from Burnham-On-Sea have won five medals at a national competition.
The group, from Burnham’s KJ2 Martial Arts Club, entered the UK Premier Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Championships in Bristol, which were attended by more than 400 competitors.
Three bronzes were won by Nathan Moore-Pointing, Rory Edwards and Josh Evans, while a silver was won by Callum Edwards and a gold was brought home by Martyn Lawson.
“All competed against some of the best in their categories the UK has to offer and the results show the hard work they have put into their training,” Martyn Lawson, club coach, told Burnham-On-Sea.com.
Burnham-On-Sea junior judo club also brought home five medals from Nailsea’s club championship. Bethany Lynch won gold, Callum Holley won silver, Callum Edwards won bronze, and Rory Edwards and Ryan Lynch won bronze.
