The 60th anniversary of Burnham-On-Sea’s Inner Wheel group was celebrated at a formal dinner on Wednesday evening (March 31st).
The celebratory event was held at Batch Country Hotel in Lympsham, and was attended by 145 guests including several from other Inner Wheel Clubs, the Rotary Club and the Association President for Great Britain and Ireland.
President Sandra Squires told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “It is quite an achievement for any group to reach its 60th year – it’s an exciting time and a wonderful evening was enjoyed by all.”
Inner Wheel is the largest women’s Voluntary Service Organisation in the world with around 100,000 members and with clubs in over 100 countries. Founded originally by the partners of Rotarians, the group shares similar aims to those of Rotary International.
