Burnham-On-Sea’s Mayor and Mayoress were the VIP judges at an Easter bonnets competition held in the town on Thursday (April 1st).
Derick and Christine Cooper had the task of inspecting the colourful hats of more than 200 children at Burnham Infants School, as pictured here.
Head Teacher Janet Sadiq told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “Nearly all of our 212 pupils took part in the Easter bonnet competition, so the Mayor and Mayoress had a big task of choosing the winners.”
“There were some very creative and colourful designs, with lots of chicks and eggs but some unique ideas too around Humpty Dumpty and some wonderful floral designs. Everyone did a wonderful job and the afternoon was enjoyed by the Mayor and Mayoress.”
