Visitors to Highbridge’s Apex Park took part in a wildlife-themed clay making workshop on Saturday (April 3rd).
Led by Burnham-On-Sea artist Margaret Micklewright, the youngsters were encouraged to find natural objects at the park to use for modelling animals out of clay, as pictured here.
“The children were able to use their observation skills to decide what to make, then roll out, cut, build and manipulate their work using natural objects,” Margaret told Burnham-On-Sea.com.
This workshop was made possible with the help of funding from the Somerset Community Foundation, which gave £2,615 to the Friends of Apex Park in early 2009 towards free events that can run until June 2010.
