Council seeks beach traders for Burnham-On-Sea and Berrow

-

Sedgemoor District Council has this week formally invited interest in a wide range of concessions for the next three seasons – 2013, 2014 and 2015.

Interested parties are invited to contact the council for an information pack with a closing date for offers being 15th February 2013.

“For the first time with specific regard to inflatables, trampoline and Punch and Judy, offers are being sought to trade on a daily basis,” the council’s Tim Mander told Burnham-On-Sea.com.

“These particular concessions have suffered with the poor weather experienced over the last two years and it is hoped that this flexibility will encourage more attractions to be provided on the beach, particularly on sunny days.”

Offers are invited for the following in Burnham – seafood, donkey and pony rides, children’s inflatables, deckchair hire, land train, trampoline, Punch & Judy and refreshments.

On Berrow beach, the council is seeking refreshments, children’s inflatables, beach requisites, deckchair hire and ice cream sellers.

And at Apex Park in Highbridge, the council is seeking ice cream sellers, refreshments and food sellers.

To request an application form, or for further details, contact Tim Mander at Sedgemoor District Council, Bridgwater House, Kings Square, Bridgwater, Somerset TA6 3AR. Tel: (01278) 435331 or email here. The closing date for offers is 12pm on Friday 15th February 2013.
