Residents of a Burnham-On-Sea cul-de-sac whose stunning display of thousands of Christmas lights featured in the national press are celebrating this week after collecting over £5,000 for charity.
Eight homes in Trinity Close were decorated top to bottom with an estimated 100,000 tiny lights throughout December until January 6th.
Collections were taken from the public in aid of three organisations: PETAL – The Christine Woodberry Memorial Trust, Burnham hovercraft rescue charity BARB and the Musgrove Hospital Baby Unit.
The lights raised over £5,000 for charity last year and this year a whopping total of £5,672 was collected.
Resident Nick Gardner said the residents were delighted to have raised such a fantastic sum for the good causes and thanked everyone who had supported the display.
